My lower back has been aching so much lately, im in third trimester and the bump is heavy now. Sitting and standing both feel hard. What did u all do for some relief, pls share anything that helped.
Prenatal yoga and some gentle stretches really eased my back, but I only started after my doc gave a go ahead. A pregnancy pillow at night was a game changer too. Sleeping on the left side with a pillow between knees helped so much.
Sitting at a desk all day wrecked my back. I got a small cushion for lower back support and took standing breaks every hour. Flat comfy shoes also helped, ditched all heels. Little changes added up more than I expected.
Beta a warm compress and a gentle malish on the lower back with light hands gives a lot of comfort. But pls only soft pressure and no strong oils. And if the pain is sharp or going down the legs, do show the doctor.
Mild aches are normal, but I want to add, if the back pain is severe, sudden, or comes with cramps or any leaking, please dont treat it at home, call your gynac. For the usual aches, warmth and rest help, but stay alert to the strong stuff.
Back pain is so common as the bump grows. A warm (not hot) compress helped me, plus a small pillow behind my back when sitting. Avoid standing too long and watch your posture. If the pain is severe or comes with other symptoms, tell the doctor.
