Just found out im 6 weeks and the nausea is making everything feel heavy. I dont know what foods are okay to keep down right now without feeling sick. Pls share what worked for u in the start.
Doc told me to focus on folate rich stuff like green veggies, dals, and citrus fruits, plus protein like eggs and paneer. Avoid raw papaya and excess caffeine. Nothing fancy needed, normal balanced ghar ka khana works.
My mother kept giving me dal, rice, ghee, seasonal fruits and milk. Simple home food is best in the start. Just take your folic acid that doctor gave, thats the important one early on.
U dont need expensive things yaar. Bananas, peanuts, eggs, dal chawal, seasonal fruit all cheap and good. I spent very little and was perfectly fine in first trimester.
Whatever u eat just dont overdo the sweets and refined stuff, start a good habit early. Fruits, nuts, dals worked for me. And do ask your gynac for a proper diet sheet, they usually give one.
Eat what feels okay to your tummy honestly. Early days are mostly about keeping food down. Stay hydrated and dont stress too much over the perfect diet.
Honestly in early weeks I could barely eat anything, nausea was bad. I survived on toast, curd rice, fruits and lots of water. Just eat whatever stays down, small meals often helped me more than big plates.
