These days my office work is too much and I keep getting tensed about small small things. Im 20 weeks and honestly I worry if all this stress is reaching the baby somehow. How bad is it really, anyone went through this?
My doctor explained that occasional stress is okay but long term stress can raise cortisol and affect sleep and BP. She suggested light walks, breathing and proper rest. Nothing scary, just keep it managed and you're good.
Too much stress can affect your sleep, appetite and sometimes BP. With both my pregnancies I noticed I ate less when tense. Dont let it pile up, talk to someone or take a walk daily. Small things make a big difference.
Baby feels what we feel, so try to stay peaceful as much as you can. I used to do a little prayer and deep breathing in the evening, it calmed me a lot. Take care of your mind also na, not just body.
I had high BP issues and my gynac clearly told me stress was making it worse. If you are feeling constant anxiety or your BP feels off, please mention it to your doctor at the next visit. Better they know early.
Honestly I felt so stressed in my first pregnancy because of work and I used to cry over small things. Nothing happened to my baby but my BP would go up whenever I overthought. Try to keep yourself calm yaar, it matters more than we realise.
