What can you take for constipation during pregnancy?
Yaar this constipation is killing me since 2nd trimester started. I dont want to take anything random without asking. What do u all use that is safe? gynac appointment is next week only.
I totally get how uncomfortable and stressful this is, it used to make me so anxious every morning. For me, drinking lots of warm water and eating prunes helped a lot. Pls talk to your gynac before taking any syrup or laxative, okay?
When you already feel like throwing up, constipation is the worst addition. I found that having warm milk at night and lots of cucumber during the day worked gently. Try to avoid heavy processed foods, and definitely check with your doctor for safe options.
Oh god, the struggles of pregnancy poop are real, haha! Honestly, eating high fiber foods was my savior because I had no energy to deal with constipation while sleepy. Ask your gynac for a safe syrup if it gets too bad.
I used to panic thinking this pressure would affect the baby, but my doc laughed and said it's totally normal due to hormones! Drinking lukewarm water first thing in the morning and eating fiber rich food really solved it for me. You'll be absolutely fine, don't worry.
Increase your water intake to at least 3 liters and add oats and green veggies to your diet immediately. If home remedies don't work in a day or two, just ask your doctor for a safe stool softener. No point suffering in silence.
