Lately i feel anxious for no real reason, like a constant uneasy feeling in my chest. Im 5 months along and never felt like this before. Is it the hormones or something else? wondering if others felt the same.
So many things can stir it up, hormones, fear of the unknown, tiredness, even other peoples comments. Its not a weakness, dear, its part of this journey for many of us. Lean on people you trust, and tell your doctor if it weighs you down.
First, what youre feeling is valid and very common. The hormone changes alone can make you more anxious, plus all the worry about the baby and delivery. For me it helped to talk about it openly and not pretend i was fine. You arent overreacting.
My doctor said its a mix of hormonal shifts, sleep changes, body discomfort and the natural fear about the baby and labour. Past experiences and stress at home can add to it too. She told me to share it with her if it got too much, and i did.
A lot of it is the body changing and the mind racing about the future. I leaned on quiet prayer and good thoughts to steady myself. Surround yourself with calm and positivity, and reach out if the worry gets heavy, no shame in that.
Some anxiety is normal from hormones and worry, but if its constant, affecting your sleep or daily life, please tell your gynac. Mine took it seriously and guided me. Anxiety in pregnancy is real and treatable, you dont have to just bear it quietly.
Oh i overthought everything in pregnancy, every twinge sent me googling and that fed the anxiety more. The constant unknown is a big cause honestly. Cutting down the googling and asking my doctor instead helped me calm down a lot.
