Read somewhere that pregnancy increases clot risk and now im a little worried, im 24 weeks. My legs feel heavy by evening so my mind goes to all these things. What actually causes clots in pregnancy, want to understand so i can watch for it?
My doctor told me pregnancy makes blood clot a bit easier naturally, and things like less movement, certain conditions or family history can add to the risk. She said staying hydrated and moving around helps. But if u suspect a clot, she said go in immediately.
If u r seeing any clots or bleeding right now pls dont wait, call your gynac today. Blood clots in pregnancy can have different reasons and its really not something to figure out at home. Get checked to be safe.
I dont want u to panic, but anything to do with clots needs a doctor not a forum. Note down when u noticed it and any pain, and ring your gynac. They will sort it out dear.
There can be a few reasons, from normal pregnancy changes to specific medical conditions. Since its a sensitive area, the safest thing is to ask your gynac who knows your history. Please dont rely on general info for this one.
I had a clotting issue flagged in my pregnancy and was put under closer watch. Honestly the causes vary person to person, so dont self diagnose. Your gynac can run the right tests and guide u properly.
