Lately even walking up to my floor leaves me huffing like crazy. Im around 30 weeks and this feeling of not getting enough air is new for me. Is this just the baby pushing up or something i should mention to my gynac? Anyone else felt this?
My gynac said hormones increase your breathing rate and the growing uterus presses on the diaphragm, so mild breathlessness is normal. But she warned me if it comes suddenly with chest pain, palpitations or it feels severe, call her immediately. Mild and on exertion is the usual kind.
As the baby grows it pushes up against your lungs, plus the hormones change your breathing, so feeling breathless is common especially later. I felt it climbing stairs both times. Slow down and take breaks, dont rush.
Yaar even walking to the kitchen makes me huff like I ran a marathon now. Apparently baby is sitting on my lungs rent free. Third trimester is no joke honestly.
Mild breathlessness is normal but please dont ignore it if it is sudden or with dizziness. Mine needed checking once and I was glad I went. When in doubt, ring your doctor.
