What causes cleft lip and palate during pregnancy?
Saw a baby with this at my relatives place and now im thoda scared in my own pregnancy. I keep wondering if its something the mom did or just by chance. Want to know what actually causes it so i can be careful.
Honestly, half of these things are just random genetics or lack of some early vitamins. My brain is too fried from 2 hours of sleep to research, but please just take your prescribed multivitamins and stop googling!
My little one is a toddler now, and looking back, I realize how much we worry about things out of our control. Cleft lip is usually a mix of genetics and environment, but modern treatments are so amazing, so please don't lose sleep over it.
I read that it's mostly due to genetics or sometimes lack of folic acid early on. I'm in my second trimester and constantly worry about these developmental things, does anyone else also feel this anxiety?
This is a serious developmental issue, so please don't rely on online forums. Talk to your gynac and make sure you do all your genetic and anomaly scans strictly as scheduled.
According to my tracker app, it usually develops in the first 6-12 weeks due to genetic factors or certain medications. Tracking your folic acid intake early on is super important, so check your app guidelines.
Having gone through severe complications myself, I can tell you that only a doctor can properly explain these genetic or environmental factors. Please get your anomaly scan done on time and discuss everything with your doctor.
Hey, don't stress too much about this. It's usually just a rare combination of genetics and environment, and you can't control everything, so just focus on staying happy and healthy.
