Im in my second trimester and have had this dry cough for almost a week now, not going away. I dont want to take anything without asking my doc but just wondering why this happens more in pregnancy? anyone else dealing with constant cough?
A small cough is usually nothing, but if it comes with high fever, breathlessness or does not settle, get it checked. Dont take cough medicines without asking your gynac. Better to be careful now.
Beta mostly it is seasonal cough or weak immunity in pregnancy. Haldi doodh and gargle with namak paani used to help us, gentle remedies only. But for any medicine, please doctor se hi poocho.
Could be a common cold, allergies or even acidity reflux which got worse for me in pregnancy. I used warm water, honey and steam for the mild cough. If it lingers or you get fever, do see your doctor instead of taking syrups on your own.
