What causes delay in periods apart from pregnancy?
My period is 8 days late and test came negative twice, so im pretty sure its not pregnancy. Thoda tension ho raha hai now. What else can cause this kind of delay?
When you're breastfeeding, especially exclusively, your periods often don't return for many months, and even then, they can be really irregular. Apart from that, stress or changes in your routine can definitely delay it. It's very common, so try not to overthink it unless it's a really long delay.
My doctor once told me there are so many reasons! Stress is a big one, even just everyday stress. Hormonal imbalances like PCOS or thyroid issues can also mess with your cycle. Then there's weight changes, whether significant gain or loss, and even intense exercise. Sometimes it's just a one-off thing, but if it's persistent, definitely check with your gynac.
After my C-section, my periods were really unpredictable for a while, but that's a different situation. Generally, stress, diet changes, or even travel can cause delays. Don't worry too much, our bodies sometimes just take their time. If you're concerned, a quick visit to the doc will ease your mind.
Oh, so many things can cause a delay apart from pregnancy, dear. Stress is a huge culprit, even a little travel or change in routine can throw it off. Hormonal changes, weight fluctuations, or even certain medications can do it. Don't jump to conclusions, just give it a few more days, and if it's still delayed, you can always check with a doctor.
