My urine report showed e coli and im a little worried because i didnt even feel much symptoms. How does this even happen in pregnancy? Did anyone else get this, what did your doctor say about the reason.
It mostly happens because of hygiene and the way pregnancy slows urine flow. Drink lots of water and dont hold urine. But the actual treatment is from doctor only, dont self medicate.
I had a urine infection in pregnancy and please dont ignore it. It often comes from bacteria reaching the bladder, more common in pregnancy because of body changes. My gynac treated it quickly so it didnt spread, so please see your doctor for proper treatment.
My doctor explained e coli usually comes from the gut area entering the urinary tract, and pregnancy makes UTIs more likely. She said drink plenty of water and finish the full course of any medicine she gives. Untreated it can reach kidneys so dont skip the follow up.
