Noticed my urine looking kind of foamy these few days and now im overthinking it. Im in 6th month. Did anyone experience this, is it something to mention to the gynac?
Foamy urine can happen sometimes, don't worry too much. Mostly, it's just being a bit dehydrated, so simple solution is drink more water, haan. Or maybe you're peeing very fast. But if it's constant and you feel other symptoms, then check with doc, no extra drama needed.
Don't ignore foamy urine, especially in pregnancy. It can be something simple like dehydration, but it can also be a sign of protein in urine, which needs immediate medical attention. Call your gynac and get your urine tested to be safe. Better to be direct and quick about these things.
Foamy urine is often seen when your urine is very concentrated, usually from not drinking enough water. So, first step is to increase your fluid intake. But because it can sometimes be a sign of protein in the urine (which your doctor needs to check), it's always wise to inform your doctor during your next visit or give them a call if you are concerned.
Ugh, everything is foamy in 3rd trimester, even my brain sometimes! Haha. Honestly, it could be anything from dehydration to just peeing with force. My gynac said unless it's constant or combined with swelling/headache, don't fret. But yes, always good to mention to the doc, just in case.
I noticed foamy urine a couple of times during my pregnancy too, and it freaked me out a little. My doctor checked my reports and said it was nothing to worry about in my case. I think it's just one of those random pregnancy things. Best to share it with your gynac, so they can tell you if it's normal for you.
Typically, some foam can just be due to concentrated urine if you're a bit dehydrated, which is common in pregnancy. Or it could be how forcefully you're urinating. However, persistent foam can sometimes indicate protein in the urine, which needs to be checked by your doctor to rule out anything serious like preeclampsia. Best to mention it.
