What causes late periods and negative pregnancy test?
My period is almost 12 days late now but the test still shows negative, did it twice. Im so confused na, either way i dont know whats happening with my body. Has this happened to anyone else?
For me it turned out to be thyroid, my cycles were all over the place. A simple blood test showed it. If your periods are often late i would really suggest getting thyroid and hormones checked once, it can quietly mess things up.
This happened to me a lot because of PCOS, my periods would be late and test negative. Hormonal imbalance can delay it without pregnancy. If it keeps happening do get a checkup, dont assume its just stress like i did for months.
Could be many things honestly, stress, weight change, thyroid, travel, even illness can push periods late. If you tested too early it can show negative also. Wait a few days and retest with morning urine, if still no period then see a doctor.
My doctor explained that if you test before the hormone level is high enough it can come negative even if pregnant. So timing of the test matters. But late periods alone can be from thyroid, PCOS or stress, she suggested a blood test to be sure rather than guessing.
Mere saath bhi aisa hua before i actually conceived, late period and negative test, so confusing. I waited a week and tested again and it was positive that time. Maybe try again after few days?
