My last scan showed my fluid level is on the lower side and im thoda worried now. Im 30 weeks. Just trying to understand what causes this so i can ask my doc properly. did anyone go through this?
Since I had PCOS, I was always scared of such complications. Low amniotic fluid can happen due to maternal high blood pressure or issues with baby's kidneys. Since it is crucial for baby's safety, please get a proper scan done and let your doctor guide you.
According to my pregnancy trackers, low amniotic fluid (oligohydramnios) can be caused by leaking amniotic sac, placenta problems, or certain maternal conditions. The app suggested tracking daily water intake closely. Please monitor your baby's movements and consult your doctor immediately.
Low amniotic fluid can happen due to dehydration, high BP, or sometimes placenta issues. My doc told me to stay super hydrated, so I made sure to drink lots of coconut water alongside my chatpata cravings. Definitely get an ultrasound done and ask your gynac about it.
I had slightly low fluid in my eighth month, and my doctor put me on bed rest and asked me to drink L-arginine sachets and lots of water. It can happen due to minor leaks or just reduced placental function. Please check with your gynac, they will monitor it safely.
I have heard that low water level around the baby can sometimes happen if there is some issue with the placenta or if the mother is dehydrated. It sounds a bit scary, so it is probably best to talk to your gynecologist for advice.
Drinking plenty of water and tender coconut water can help with mild fluid issues, but low amniotic fluid is a serious matter. It can be due to natural leaking or placental issues. Please do not rely on home tips alone and see your doctor immediately for a scan.
