Never used to get migraines before but now in my first trimester they come almost every other day. The pain is so bad i cant even look at the phone screen. Why does this happen in pregnancy? anyone else going through this?
Mild headaches can be common, but if a migraine is very severe or comes with vision changes or swelling, please call your gynac immediately. That combo needs checking for BP. Better safe na.
My gynac said hormonal changes, lack of sleep, dehydration and skipping meals can all trigger migraines in pregnancy. She told me to keep hydrated, rest in a dark room, and never take any painkiller without asking her. Tracking my triggers actually helped reduce them.
Migraines plus pregnancy hormones are honestly so draining, I get it. For me stress and poor sleep made them worse. Talk to your gynac about safe relief, dont just suffer through it quietly.
