Period is 6 days late but my home test showed negative and im so confused. Have all the usual signs, nausea, tender breasts. Why would the test be negative if im actually pregnant? Has this happened to anyone?
Testing too soon is the number one reason. Sometimes the kit is expired or done wrong too. If you really feel pregnant but test is negative, repeat after 3-4 days.
My gynac said most false negatives happen when you test too early before hcg builds up, or use diluted urine. She told me to wait till missed period and use morning urine. Retest after few days if period still doesnt come.
Dont read too much into one negative if your period is still missing. Wait, retest in morning, and if it stays negative but no period, see your gynac. They'll sort it out.
I tested like 4 times because of negatives and drove myself crazy honestly. Turned out I was just testing too early. Wait a few days, I know its hard but it helps.
