Main 18 weeks pe hu aur kuch din se pelvic area me halka halka dard rehta, chalne par thoda zyada lagta hai. Bohot severe nahi hai par dhyaan jaata hai baar baar. Ye kis wajah se hota hai normally? Koi same gone through?
Oh my god, I had so much pelvic pain especially in the third trimester, and I totally panicked! I thought something was wrong. But my doctor reassured me it's often ligaments stretching and the baby putting pressure. It was normal for me, don't worry too much but do mention it to your gynac.
Actually, most pregnancy apps and websites mention pelvic pain as a very common symptom, especially later on. It's often due to your ligaments softening and stretching to accommodate the baby, plus the baby's head dropping lower. You can track your pain on apps to see patterns, but definitely discuss with your gynac.
Sometimes it's just your body adjusting to the growing baby and hormones loosening up joints. If your doctor has cleared you for gentle exercise, light walking or prenatal yoga can help strengthen the pelvic floor muscles. But seriously, only do what your gynac says is okay.
The body does amazing things to prepare for delivery, and sometimes that means a little discomfort. Pelvic pain can be those ligaments and joints making space for the baby. Trust your body, listen to it. I had some too and had a smooth normal delivery.
When I was pregnant, my Amma used to massage my lower back very gently with warm oil, it really helped with the discomfort. The elders at home said it's just the baby settling down. But if it's very painful, ghar pe bhi sab kehte hain ki doctor ko batana chahiye.
I can only tell you what I experienced. I had dull aches in my pelvic area, especially when I walked too much or changed positions. My doctor said it was normal stretching. But I never took any meds without asking my gynac first. Always best to check, I don't give advice.
