What causes period like cramps in early pregnancy?
Im around 5 weeks and getting these cramps in lower pet that feel exactly like my periods are coming. Its making me nervous na. Is this a normal thing in early days or should i worry?
Beti, yeh shuru shuru mein aise dard hote hain, bilkul period jaisa lagta hai. Ghabra mat. Jab bachcha ghar banata hai na andar, toh thoda uterus stretch hota hai, isliye hota hai. Thodi der aaram kar lo, garma garam doodh pi lo. Agar bahut zyada ho toh doctor ko bata dena.
Oh my god, I literally thought my period was coming back when I had those cramps in early pregnancy! I totally panicked and called my gynac. She reassured me it's very common, mostly due to the uterus expanding and the embryo implanting. It felt so normal after that, but it's scary at first. Just relax.
When I was staying with my parents during my first trimester, I also had these period-like cramps. My mom and aunts all said it's quite normal, the body is just making space for the baby. It's usually your uterus stretching. Just rest a bit and if it persists or gets stronger, do tell your gynac.
While many women experience mild period-like cramps in early pregnancy due to things like implantation or uterine stretching, it's always safest to mention it to your gynac. They can rule out any other issues, especially if the cramps are severe, or if there's any bleeding involved. Better to be cautious, always.
Actually, it's quite common. Your uterus is getting ready for the baby, so it's expanding and stretching, which can cause mild cramping. Also, implantation can cause slight discomfort. Keep an eye on it, if it gets very strong or you see spotting, then definitely call your doctor, otherwise usually it's normal.
It's usually normal, don't worry too much unless it's severe or accompanied by bleeding. These cramps can be from implantation, your uterus stretching, or even just mild constipation common in early pregnancy. Most gynacs say it's fine. Just mention it at your next appointment if it's bothering you.
