What causes thick white discharge during pregnancy?

Im 13 weeks and noticing this thick white discharge more than before, no smell or itching but its definitely increased. Just want to be sure its a normal pregnancy thing. Did u also have this and is it something to mention to the doc?

Pregnancy hormones increase discharge, and a thick milky white one is usually normal. Both my pregnancies I had more of it. But if it itches, smells off or changes colour, get checked, that could be an infection.

My doctor said the rise in estrogen causes that thicker white discharge to protect against infections. As long as it has no itching, bad smell or unusual colour, it's normal. She told me to report only if those signs appear.

I've had more thick white discharge lately and got worried. Is this normal for everyone? My gynac said it's fine unless there's itching or smell, which calmed me down.
