My TSH came out high in the first trimester tests and gynac started me on medicine. I never had thyroid before this so im wondering why it suddenly came up now. Did this happen to anyone else?
I know it can be unsettling to hear about something like thyroid problems during pregnancy, I had so much anxiety myself. Actually, pregnancy puts a lot of stress on your endocrine system, and the thyroid gland sometimes struggles to produce enough hormones to meet the demands of you and the baby. Sometimes it's also linked to autoimmune conditions which can flare up.
Hey, yaar, don't stress too much about it! It's actually pretty common for thyroid levels to go a bit wonky during pregnancy. Basically, your body's hormones are just doing a major revamp to support the baby, and sometimes the thyroid gland gets a bit overwhelmed. Your doc will just give you some meds, and you'll be totally fine, don't worry.
Sometimes, the big hormonal changes during pregnancy can affect your thyroid gland. It's not your fault, and it's quite common for many women. The important thing is your doctor will help you manage it with the right medication to keep both you and the baby healthy.
I felt so worried when my doc told me about my thyroid levels in pregnancy. It's actually quite common, they say. My gynac explained it's often due to the hormonal changes and increased demand on your thyroid gland to support both you and the baby. It can be a little scary, but with proper medication, it gets managed.
Oh, thyroid issues are just another one of those 'surprise' pregnancy side effects, right? With twins, my body felt like it was doing a double shift anyway! Basically, your body's hormones are going crazy, and sometimes the thyroid gland just can't keep up with the extra work needed for both you and the growing baby. It's usually manageable with meds.
