Im around 6 weeks and noticing this milky white discharge almost every day now. It dont smell or itch but i never had it this much before, so just curious why it happens in early pregnancy. Is this normal yaar?
When I asked my gynac she said estrogen rises in pregnancy and that increases vaginal discharge, plus more blood supply to the area. The fluid actually helps keep infections away. She said only worry if it changes colour or comes with itching.
Its called leucorrhoea, happens in both my pregnancies. Extra blood flow n hormones down there cause it. As long as its white, thin and not itchy or smelly, dont stress about it.
White discharge is mostly normal in pregnancy. But if it turns yellow green, smells bad, or u feel itching n burning, pls show ur doctor. I ignored mine once and it was an infection, dont make the same mistake.
My amma also told me this is common, body is just protecting the baby with more discharge. Just wear cotton inners and keep clean. Anything unusual, smell or colour change, ask ur doc once.
I remember getting so scared when I saw this in my early weeks. My gynac told me its totally normal, the body makes more discharge because of hormones. I felt so relieved after she explained, milky white n no smell is fine.
