My due date is set and now im just curious to figure out roughly when i actually conceived. the dates are confusing me with last period and all that. how do u calculate it back?
Take your last period start date and add about two weeks, thats roughly conception. But honestly its an estimate. The first trimester scan dates it better than any calculation. Ask your doctor, she'll tell you.
My tracker app estimated it from my last period plus ovulation day. Its never a 100% exact date though, just an approximate window. The early ultrasound dating is actually the most accurate way to figure it out.
I always found this confusing, like they count from the period before you even conceived! From what i get, conception is around ovulation, about 2 weeks into the cycle. The dating scan sorts out the exact-ish day.
Doctors usually count pregnancy from your last period date, and conception is roughly 2 weeks after that, around ovulation. So its an estimate, not an exact date. My gynac calculated mine from LMP and the early scan, that gives the closest idea.
