My doc gave me a due date from the scan but now im curious to work backwards and figure out the actual day. We were travelling around that time so its kind of a sweet thing to know. How do u all calculate this from the due date?
My app let me work backwards from the due date to roughly estimate conception, around 38 weeks before. It's only an estimate though, real conception is a few days around ovulation. The dating scan gives the closest answer.
My doctor said the due date is usually 40 weeks from your last period, and conception is roughly 2 weeks after that date. So counting back about 38 weeks from due date gives an approximate conception day. The early scan is the most accurate for dating though.
It's only ever an estimate, conception is around 2 weeks after your last period start. From the due date you can roughly back calculate but dont take the exact day too seriously. The dating scan is what your gynac relies on.
