Just entered my second trimester and i want to eat properly for the baby but theres so much conflicting advice from everyone at home. Looking for a simple idea of what a good daily diet looks like. What did u all focus on?
You dont need expensive fancy foods honestly. Dal, eggs, seasonal fruits, leafy veg and milk cover most of it cheaply. I ate simple and my reports were good throughout.
Eat balanced and dont fall for eating for two, that is a myth. Protein, iron and calcium rich foods, lots of water, and your prescribed vitamins. Avoid raw and unhygienic stuff.
I kept it balanced with dal, sabzi, roti, fruits, milk and protein, and watched my sugar carefully. Small frequent meals worked better than heavy ones. Your doctor or a dietician can tailor it, especially if you have any condition.
Home cooked food, plenty of greens, curd, fruits and good ghee in moderation, that is how my mother fed me. Simple and nourishing. Just take the supplements your doctor gives along with it.
