Got my blood test report and it just shows hcg with some big number, no idea what is normal or not. My gynac is on leave till monday so im sitting here googling like mad. Can someone explain in simple words what these levels actually tell?
With my PCOS history, I was super paranoid about HCG levels doubling properly. It's good to be cautious but don't overthink every digit. Just keep your doctor in the loop and take it day by day.
Uff, for me high HCG meant terrible morning sickness in the early weeks, I was throwing up non-stop! It just shows your pregnancy hormones are working, but keep eating small meals to cope.
It's just a marker to confirm pregnancy is progressing well. I wanted to start prenatal yoga right away but my doctor said to wait for the first scan and check HCG levels first. Only start active walking or yoga if your gynac allows it!
I recently delivered my baby boy, and I remember obsessing over these numbers! HCG just rises rapidly in the first trimester to support the pregnancy. Trust your doctor and don't google too much, it just causes extra stress.
Honestly, my HCG levels were very low initially and I literally cried thinking the worst. But my gynac explained that as long as it is doubling every 48 hours, it is absolutely fine. My baby is perfectly healthy now, so pls relax!
These numbers can be so confusing. Since I had thyroid issues, my doc tracked my HCG and thyroid levels very closely. Please just keep up with your regular doctor follow-ups and let them explain the reports.
