Me and hubby are trying since 3 months and im tracking my ovulation now. Bit confused about how the whole thing actually works on that day. Can someone explain in simple words pls?
I was confused about this too. From what my gynac explained, the egg is only there for about a day so the ovulation day and just before is the best window. Hope that helps a little.
Basically ovulation day is when the egg releases, so chances of conceiving are highest around that day and the 1-2 days before. I used a tracker app to find my fertile window, it made it much easier to plan.
Dont overthink the exact day too much. The body has a fertile window of a few days. Tracking your cycle helps, and if it doesnt happen quickly thats normal too, give it time.
On ovulation day the egg comes out and can be fertilised if sperm is there. Thats why people time it around that day. But the few days before also count because sperm survives a bit inside.
I think the fertile days are actually a small window not just one day. Ovulation day is the peak but the days leading up to it matter as much. Was reading about this recently myself.
