Got my anomaly scan and report says anterior placenta, the doctor said its fine but i didnt fully understand what it means. Now im reading random stuff online and getting more confused. Can someone who had this explain simply?
It just means the placenta is at the front of your uterus, near your belly. My doc said its totally normal, only thing is you might feel baby kicks a bit later because the placenta is cushioning. Nothing to worry.
I had anterior placenta in one pregnancy. Completely fine, just felt movements later than usual. Delivery and everything was normal. Dont read scary stuff online.
My scan said same thing and I got so worried! But my gynac calmed me down saying its just position. Anyone else had it and still felt kicks properly later on?
Relax, anterior placenta is very common and not a problem. The only thing is you may notice the baby moving slightly later. Your doctor will keep an eye like always.
Front placement, thats all it means. It can make hearing the heartbeat at home harder and kicks feel softer. But your gynac monitors it in scans, so trust her on this.
