At my last scan the doc mentioned baby is in breech position and moved on quickly. Im 30 weeks and now im a bit confused what it actually means and whether it can still change. Can someone explain in simple words?
It means baby is positioned the wrong way round, bottom first. Lots of them flip head down before delivery, so dont stress if you hear it at a mid pregnancy scan. Your doctor monitors the position closer to your due date.
My baby stayed breech till the end so I had a planned C-section, and it went smoothly. It just means the head isnt down yet, very common earlier in pregnancy. Try not to worry, your doctor will guide you on the safest delivery plan.
Breech just means the baby is positioned bottom or feet down instead of head down. My gynac said many babies are breech earlier on and turn by 36 weeks on their own. If it stays breech near the end they discuss options like a procedure to turn it or a C-section.
