I keep seeing conceive date on the apps and reports but im a bit confused what it really means, is it different from my last period date? Newly pregnant and learning all these terms.
On the apps conceive date is the estimated day you became pregnant, usually around ovulation, roughly 2 weeks after your period starts. The app just estimates it, it's not exact. For accurate dating the early scan is most reliable, mine adjusted my dates after the first ultrasound.
Simply put, it's the day the baby was conceived. Most of us cant pinpoint it exactly, so doctors go by your last period or the early scan. Dont worry too much about the exact date dear, the scan will give the clearest picture.
Conceive date basically means the day you actually got pregnant, usually around ovulation when the egg meets sperm. But honestly its hard to know the exact day. Doctors usually count from your last period instead, thats why due dates are calculated from LMP not conceive date.
I got so confused with this too! Conceive date is when baby is actually conceived, but my doc counted weeks from my last period date instead. So my conceive date and pregnancy weeks didnt match the way I expected, anyone else found this confusing?
