Sorry if this sounds basic, but I am newly married and trying to understand all these terms. People keep saying conceive, implantation, fertile days and I get confused. Can someone explain in simple words?
My doctor explained it nicely, conceiving is when fertilisation happens after ovulation and the fertilised egg attaches to the uterus lining. From there your body starts making pregnancy hormones, which is what the test picks up.
Conceiving simply means the egg and sperm meet and fertilise, and it implants in your uterus. Thats the moment pregnancy starts. After that it grows over the weeks.
Conceiving means a baby has started growing inside you after the egg gets fertilised. Such a beautiful word actually. If you are trying, your doctor can help with the right timing.
We are trying right now so I read about this. From what I understood, conceive means the sperm fertilises the egg and it settles in the womb. Thats when you become pregnant. Still feels like a miracle to me.
