My scan report has EDD written and one date next to it. I know it is related to delivery date but not fully sure. Can someone explain what it means in simple way?
I had the same doubt when my doc wrote EDD on my file haha. It just means expected delivery date. Did anyone else deliver before their EDD? mine is in two months and im already counting days.
Haan its expected delivery date. Actually my gynac said the scan one is more accurate than the period date, so go by what she finally puts on your chart.
My doctor explained EDD is estimated due date, usually counted as 40 weeks from the first day of your last period. She told me only around 4-5 percent babies actually come exactly on that date, so its more like a guide than a deadline.
Dont stress over those letters dear. EDD is just the estimated due date your doctor noted. Baby comes when baby is ready, a little before or after is totally normal.
EDD means estimated due date yaar. Its basically the date your gynac gives based on your last period and scan. Mine changed by a week after the first ultrasound so dont treat it as fixed.
