I keep reading about hormones everywhere and estrogen comes up a lot but i dont really get its role. Just trying to understand whats happening inside my body these days. Can someone explain in simple words?
All i know is estrogen was busy making me cry at random ads on tv haha. Hormones do a lot of work back there, both good and dramatic. Your body is basically a science lab right now.
My gynac explained that estrogen helps the uterus grow and supports blood flow to the baby, and also gets the body ready for milk later. She said its one of the main hormones rising through pregnancy. It also adds to the mood swings honestly.
My pregnancy app had a whole section on this, estrogen basically helps develop the baby and prepares your body. It also explained why my skin and hair changed. Apps like that made me understand my body better.
