Lately i keep feeling these tiny rhythmic jerks in my belly, like the baccha is having hiccups. Im 30 weeks. Is this a good sign or something to note? Curious what it actually means.
I've been reading up on this so much lately while we are trying to conceive. Experienced moms tell me that hiccups in the womb are very sweet rhythmic movements that show the baby is swallowing amniotic fluid nicely. It sounds like such a gentle, lovely milestone to look forward to.
According to my gynac, both maternal hiccups and fetal hiccups are perfectly normal. When the baby hiccups, it's just their diaphragm contracting as they practice breathing and swallowing amniotic fluid. My doctor said unless they are continuous for days or happen very late in the third trimester along with reduced general movements, it's completely harmless.
If it is you getting the hiccups, it could just be because of eating too quickly or a bit of acidity, which is very common. Just drink small sips of water and avoid eating heavy, sugary or spicy meals all at once, especially if you are monitoring your blood sugar. If it's the baby's hiccups, it's completely normal and nothing to worry about.
Haan na, it feels so weird in the tummy when they get hiccups! At first I thought it was some muscle twitching, but then my mom said it's just the baby hiccuping. It's actually a very sweet feeling, ho na? Don't worry at all.
Oh my god, I used to worry so much about this too! When my stomach started doing these rhythmic little jumps, I panicked thinking something was wrong with the baby's breathing. But it turned out to be just fetal hiccups, which is totally normal and means their lungs are developing well [3.2.1], so try not to stress!
