Im 38 weeks and my gynac said if labour doesnt start naturally by next week we might have to do induction. I just nodded but actually didnt understand what it really means. Can someone explain simply?
Induction basically means the doctor gives you medicines or does procedures to kickstart your labour. Sometimes they do it if your body isn't going into labour naturally or if there's a medical reason. My doctor said staying active with walks and prenatal yoga (if allowed) can sometimes help things move along naturally, but if not, induction is there.
Oh, so induction means like, they start the labour artificially, right? My gynac also mentioned it if the baby doesn't come by itself after the due date. I'm a bit nervous about it, does it hurt more than natural labour, I wonder?
Yaar, induction ka matlab hai ki if your labour isn't starting on its own, doctors basically help you get there. They can give you meds or do something to ripen your cervix. Actually, it's pretty common if you're overdue or if there's any risk. My cousin had it and it was totally fine.
Induction is when doctors help to start your labour if it's not starting on its own. They might do it for different reasons, like if you're overdue. It's a way to make sure both mom and baby are safe. Just trust your doctor, they will explain everything.
Hmm, this is good to know for when I get pregnant. So, it's like when your body needs a little push to start the delivery process, right? My friend also had an induction because she was way past her due date. It sounds a bit scary but good that there's an option.
