What does line on stomach indicates during pregnancy?
Noticed a dark vertical line on my belly the last few weeks, im around 6 months now. It wasnt there before. Is this normal and what does it actually mean? curious if all of you got it too.
Beta many will tell u this line means boy or girl, but dont believe that, its just a normal pregnancy mark from hormones. My daughter had it too. It lightens on its own with time, no special cream needed.
That dark line is called linea nigra, my doc said its totally normal and happens due to pregnancy hormones increasing pigment. It doesnt indicate anything about the baby or gender, dont believe those old tales. It usually fades after delivery.
That's the normal pregnancy line, linea nigra. And no, it does not tell u if its a boy or girl, ignore all those relatives saying so. Its just hormones, nothing to worry about, it'll go after delivery.
I felt a bit self conscious when this dark line appeared on my belly, thought something was wrong. But its completely normal, just pigmentation from hormones. Mine faded slowly months after my baby came.
