Got my scan report today and it says longitudinal lie somewhere. I didnt get a chance to ask the doc properly, everything felt so rushed. Can someone explain in simple words what this means yaar?
Longitudinal lie just refers to the vertical position of the baby in your womb, which is exactly how they should be as you get closer to delivery. It's just medical jargon for 'standing' or 'hanging' straight. No need to panic, it's very standard.
It basically means the baby is lying vertically, along the length of your uterus (head up or down). I used to track all these scan terms on my pregnancy apps. It's a very normal and common position!
My scans always made me anxious because of my past PCOS struggles. But longitudinal is actually a good sign, meaning the baby is in a vertical position. Just keep attending all your routine checkups and ask your gynac if you feel any discomfort.
Beta, don't let these big English medical terms scare you. Longitudinal simply means the baby is lying vertically, which is perfectly fine and safe. Rest well, eat healthy, and let the doctor do the worrying.
I am still hoping to conceive soon, but my sister's scan report had this too. The doctor told her it just means the baby is positioned vertically, which is very normal. Sending you lots of positive vibes.
It just means baby is lying straight up and down, parallel to your spine! 👶 Absolutely nothing to worry about, dear. Enjoy seeing your little one in the scans! ❤️
Are haan, iska matlab bas baby seedha leta hai, vertical position mein. Mere scan mein bhi yahi likha tha. Faltu ki tension mat lo na, sab normal hai bilkul.
