What does negative and positive mean in pregnancy test?
Took a home test for the first time and got two lines but the second one is faint. Im not sure what counts as positive vs negative honestly. Can someone explain how to read it properly?
A positive pregnancy test means you are pregnant. A negative test means you are not pregnant. If you are still unsure or have any questions, it's always good to talk to your doctor.
Oh, I remember staring at that test strip like it was some ancient puzzle! Don't worry, it's quite simple. 'Positive' means you're pregnant, congratulations! And 'negative' means you're not. Sometimes, if it's too early, a negative can turn positive later, so if your period is still missing, re-test in a few days. But essentially, it's a 'yes' or 'no' answer.
When I went for my first checkup at the hospital, they explained everything so clearly. A 'positive' result means you are pregnant, because the test detected the pregnancy hormone. 'Negative' means it didn't. If you're confused or have doubts, always ask your gynac or even the nurses at the clinic; they are usually very helpful and can explain it properly.
Ho na, it's very simple. 'Positive' ka matlab hai ki aap pregnant ho, kyunki test ne pregnancy ka hormone detect kiya hai. Aur 'Negative' matlab, abhi aap pregnant nahi ho. Agar periods miss ho rahe hain aur negative aaya hai, toh thode din baad dobara test karke dekh lo, ya fir gynac ko dikha do, haan na?
Haha, simple sa fundaa hai! Positive means 'party time, you're having a baby!' and Negative means 'back to the drawing board, maybe try again!' Or maybe just wait a few days and retest if your period is still missing. With twins, I got a super strong positive very early on, so it can vary, but the meaning is straightforward.
