Keep hearing about all these hormones during my checkups and oestrogen comes up a lot. Just trying to understand what its actually doing in my body right now. Curious more than worried.
It's one of the main pregnancy hormones, drives a lot of the body changes along with progesterone. Interesting to read about but I wouldnt stress over the science. Your doctor keeps an eye on anything important during checkups.
My gynac explained that oestrogen helps the uterus grow, supports blood flow to the baby and helps develop things like the milk ducts. It rises a lot through pregnancy. It's a key hormone, but honestly you dont need to track it, the doctor monitors what matters.
