My report has EDD written and family keeps asking due date, but I want to understand how they decide it. Scan date and LMP date are slightly different. What does EDD exactly mean in your reports?
Its ur estimated delivery date. They count roughly 40 weeks from first day of last period. Once u get a scan the doctor may adjust it slightly. Dont treat it as a fixed deadline yaar.
EDD = Expected Date of Delivery, or as i call it, the date baby completely ignores lol. Both my friends went over it. Its just a rough idea, not a train timetable.
Any pregnancy app will calculate ur EDD once u put ur last period date. But the dating scan in first trimester gives the most accurate one, so trust that over the app number.
EDD means Expected Date of Delivery, basically the due date doctors calculate from ur last period. Its an estimate na, very few actually deliver exactly on it. Mine came 6 days early.
I just learnt this too, EDD is the due date they give u. My doc said baby can come 2 weeks before or after, so anyone elses came late? mine is next month and im counting days.
