What exercises should be avoided during pregnancy?
I used to do some workout before and want to stay active in pregnancy too, im in second trimester now. But not sure which movements I should skip so I dont harm baccha. anyone with experience pls guide.
I totally understand wanting to stay active for your little one, but please avoid anything too strenuous or jerky. No intense stretching or core exercises that put pressure on your stomach. Listen to your body and rest whenever you feel tired, love.
My hospital's prenatal fitness coach specifically told us to avoid contact sports, high-intensity interval training, and hot yoga. Please ask your obstetrician or hospital staff for a personalized list of safe movements. They can guide you perfectly based on your medical history.
I avoid anything that requires too much stamina because I need all my energy to digest my cravings! Seriously though, skip heavy weights or twists that compress your tummy. Just a slow stroll after meals is more than enough.
Our bodies go through so much, please be very gentle with yourself right now. Avoid any exercises where you have to lie flat on your back after the first trimester. Your safety and your sweet little baby's safety are all that matter.
My saas strictly forbade me from bending down suddenly or lifting heavy buckets of water. Honestly, she was right, because high impact movements can be risky. Better stick to slow, gentle walks inside the house.
Haha, the only exercise I did was walking to the fridge and back! Joking aside, definitely avoid any crazy jumping, skipping, or heavy lifting. Keep it simple and just do light walks, no need to become an athlete right now!
Absolutely avoid any heavy weight lifting, jumping, or intense abdominal workouts. Most importantly, consult your gynac before doing even basic exercises. Every pregnancy is different, so safety should be your top priority.
