Hi there! Light walking is universally safe and wonderful for circulation. You can also look into gentle prenatal yoga, but always let the instructor know you are in your first trimester.
I am not a doctor, but personally, I only did 20-30 minutes of slow walking in my first trimester. I didn't want to take any risks, so I kept it very simple and safe.
If you have a busy job, don't stress about finding time for long workouts. Just taking a 15-minute walk during lunch break or after dinner is more than enough to stay active in the first trimester.
I had a normal delivery and I swear by walking! I started with just 20 minutes of daily walking in my first trimester and slowly increased it later. It keeps your stamina up and feels amazing.
In the first trimester, especially if it is an IVF pregnancy, we have to be very gentle with our bodies. I was advised to only do light strolls inside the house. Please check with your doctor before starting any exercise.
My baby is a crazy toddler now, but I still remember how scared I was to move in the first trimester! Looking back, a gentle evening walk in the fresh air was the best thing for both my mind and body.
Don't start any heavy gym workouts now. Just stick to a 20-minute daily walk and some basic stretching. Your body is already working double-time to build the placenta, so don't overexert.
Look, first trimester is not the time to become a fitness freak. Just do simple walking and some deep breathing. If your doctor has given you green signal, only then think of prenatal yoga.
I'm in my second trimester now, but in the first 3 months, I was too scared to do anything except a 15-minute slow walk. Did anyone else also feel super nervous about exercising early on?
