What food to avoid in first trimester of pregnancy?
Just got my positive and im so paranoid about every little thing i eat now. Mil keeps giving advice but i want real info. What all did you avoid in the early weeks? pls list anything important.
Raw papaya and pineapple are big NOs because they can cause contractions! Also, try to avoid half-cooked eggs, raw fish, and outside street food to stay safe from infections. Stick to hot, fresh ghar ka khana for a healthy start! 🍏
I just crossed my first trimester and was so paranoid about food! My doctor told me to strictly avoid unripe papaya, pineapple, and raw eggs. Did anyone else feel super anxious even when eating normal home-cooked food?
Keep it simple: avoid raw or undercooked meats, unpasteurized dairy, unripe papaya, and pineapple. Also, limit your tea and coffee intake to just one cup a day. Always eat freshly cooked meals and don't stress too much over minor ingredients.
It is so normal to feel overwhelmed by all the "what to eat" advice in the beginning, please breathe! Just stay away from raw sprouts, unripe papaya, pineapple, and unpasteurized milk. As long as you are eating clean, freshly cooked home food, you and your baby are safe.
I am currently 8 weeks pregnant and my MIL told me to stay far away from Chinese food because of ajinomoto, and also unripe papaya. Are we also supposed to completely avoid coffee, or is one small cup okay?
