What food to eat to increase haemoglobin during pregnancy?
My hb came low in the last report and gynac said i need to bring it up thoda. I dont want to depend only on tablets, want to add good food also. What worked for u all? im 20 weeks.
You should definitely try eating pomegranates and apples daily! Having beetroot-carrot soup or boiled black chana also works like magic to boost your haemoglobin levels. 🥕🥗
Honestly, during pregnancy, I was practically living on palak paneer and pomegranate juice just to keep my Hb up. Now that the baby is here and keeping me awake 24/7, I probably need double that iron! Just have some dates and beetroot, they are super easy to snack on.
Honestly, in this 3rd trimester, just chewing my food feels like a workout, but I force myself to eat dates and figs. I also swallow my iron tablets with orange juice as the doc said it helps. Let's hope my next blood test is good so I can stop eating so much palak!
Having gone through IVF, I know how carefully we watch every single blood report. Try to gently add dates, spinach, and apples to your routine, and always take your doctor-prescribed iron supplements on time. Sending you so much warmth, you are doing a wonderful job.
Since I had PCOS, I had to be very careful with my diet and sugar intake while trying to raise my Hb. I relied on spinach, green leafy veggies, and roasted black chana instead of high-sugar fruits. Just consult your doctor before making any major diet changes, especially if you have other health factors.
I am also struggling with low Hb right now, currently in my 5th month. My mom suggested beetroot and pomegranate juice, but does it cause acidity for anyone else? Let me know what other foods are easier on the stomach!
When my Hb dropped to 9 in the second trimester, I felt so exhausted and scared for my baby. I started having beetroot juice mixed with amla every single day, and it really brought my levels up. It felt like such a relief when my next report came normal.
Oh babe, don't stress too much about the numbers, it's very common for Hb to drop during pregnancy. Just add some palak, pomegranate, and dates to your daily diet. Also, make sure you have lemon water with your iron-rich food as Vitamin C helps absorb the iron better!
Keeping your Hb high is so important for a smooth delivery. I regularly ate jaggery with roasted chana and drank fresh beetroot-pomegranate juice. It naturally kept my levels around 12, which helped me stay energetic during my normal delivery.
