Newly pregnant and totally clueless about the do-not-eat list. Everyone keeps adding new things to avoid and i feel paranoid before eating anything. Can someone give a proper simple list?
I totally understand how hard it is to give up your favorite foods right now, dear. But for your sweet little baby's safety, please avoid raw papaya, unpasteurized cheese, and outside salads. It is just for a few months!
With two babies inside, I was told to avoid raw papaya, raw fish, and too much caffeine. Honestly, skipping coffee was the hardest part, but you gotta do what you gotta do! Keep outside food to a minimum.
Strictly avoid raw papaya, pineapple, and raw eggs or half-boiled meats. Also, cut down on caffeine and completely skip outside street food to avoid infections. Keep it simple and hygienic.
Just make sure to avoid raw or undercooked foods and unpasteurized milk to prevent infections. Even during my C-section recovery, my doctor emphasized eating fully cooked, warm ghar ka khana.
Since I had a high-risk pregnancy with complications, I was very strict. Please avoid raw papaya, pineapple, Chinese food with Ajinomoto, and any outside juices. Always consult your doctor for a customized diet chart.
