Just entered week 6 and honestly i feel almost nothing some days which makes me anxious. Curious what is actually happening inside at this stage and what i should be feeling. anyone remember their 6th week?
Oh week 6 and 7 were my worst for sickness, I could barely keep water down. What helped was tiny snacks every couple hours, dry biscuits by the bed and ginger. If yours gets so bad you cant keep anything down at all, do tell your doctor, that part needs checking.
At 6 weeks the embryo is around the size of a lentil and major development is happening, my doctor said this is when the tiny heartbeat can sometimes be picked up on an early scan. Symptoms like nausea, sore breasts, tiredness and frequent peeing often kick in now due to rising hormones. She said it is a key early window so take your folic acid regularly.
Sixth week, expect the symptoms to ramp up, nausea, food smells bothering you, exhaustion. Baby is developing fast even though your bump isnt showing. Eat small frequent meals, stay hydrated and keep taking your folic acid. If you havent had your first gynac visit yet, book it.
Week 6 was when it all felt real for me, I felt so much nausea and tiredness suddenly. Around this time the baby is tiny but the heartbeat may start to show on scan. I cried happy tears at my first scan honestly. Hang in there with the morning sickness, it does pass.
I remember 6 weeks, the nausea hit me hard and I was so worried whether everything was ok. Did anyone else feel super tired and emotional around then? For me it was all completely normal, baby was fine. The early weeks are just a lot on the body.
