Just entered week 8 and honestly im so curious what is happening inside right now. The nausea has kicked in properly this week. Would love to know what others felt around this time.
My amma told me to just rest and eat well in these early weeks since the baby is still settling. Take ur folic acid, avoid heavy lifting, and follow what ur doctor advises at the first checkup. Take it easy, ma.
Around 8 weeks the baby is tiny, like a raspberry, and tiny hands and feet are forming. At my 8 week scan we could see the heartbeat, it was such an emotional moment. Your doc usually does the first proper scan around this time.
I felt so many emotions at 8 weeks, tired and weepy and excited all at once. The bump isnt showing yet but inside so much is happening. Hearing that little heartbeat made it all feel real to me.
At 8 weeks I had no big symptoms and I kept worrying something was wrong. Did others also feel barely anything early on? My scan was perfectly fine so I guess everyone is different na.
Week 8 was peak nausea hell for me honestly. The pregnancy hormones are high so vomiting, smell sensitivity and tiredness hit hard. Eat small bites often and rest, it does get better by 12 weeks for most of us.
Mostly internal changes at this stage, baby organs developing, your hormones going crazy. Sore breasts, fatigue, frequent peeing, mood swings, all normal. Start ur folic acid if u havent and book that first scan.
