What happens if alkaline phosphatase is high during pregnancy?
My LFT report came and alkaline phosphatase is showing high. Im 28 weeks. Got a bit scared seeing it marked. Will check with doc but is this something to worry about during pregnancy?
Oh, I just got my blood test results back and my ALP was slightly elevated too! My doctor just said she'll recheck it next month and not to worry too much unless it gets much higher. Is that normal then? I hope it's just the placenta thing you mentioned.
Okay, so alkaline phosphatase can naturally rise during pregnancy because of the placenta's activity, which is quite common and often not a concern. However, if it's *very* high, it can sometimes indicate other underlying issues like liver problems. Your doctor will assess the level and decide if any further investigations are required. Just keep up with your appointments.
So, ALP can be a bit higher in pregnancy because your placenta makes it, which is normal. But very high levels could mean something else, like a liver issue or bone issue. Honestly, don't Google too much and stress yourself. Your doc will track it and tell you what tests are needed. Just follow their lead.
Oh, high alkaline phosphatase can happen in pregnancy, especially because the placenta contributes to it! 🥰 It's usually something your doctor monitors. They might just keep an eye on it, or suggest more tests if they are worried about your liver or bones. Stay positive and trust your gynac! ✨
Namaste, alkaline phosphatase can be high in pregnancy, it's very common because of the placenta. My mother-in-law used to say, 'baby's growing means body is changing!' But of course, your doctor will check if it's too high or if there's any need for concern. Just listen to what your gynac says, dear, they know best.
Sometimes our body changes so much in pregnancy, and blood reports can show all sorts of things. High ALP can be normal due to baby's growth, but if it's very high or you have other symptoms, please, *please* talk to your doctor. For anything serious, only your gynac can guide you. Don't try home remedies for this.
Beta, yeh jo bhi report mein high low aata hai na, uske liye ghabrana nahi hai. Doctor ne bataya hoga na tumhe? Agar woh bol rahe hain ki theek hai, ya kuch dawai di hai, toh bas vahi karna. Bhagwaan sab achha karenge, bas apne doc pe bharosa rakho aur khush raho.
High alkaline phosphatase can definitely be concerning, I understand. Just like with my thyroid issues, it's all about regular monitoring. Your doctor will know if it's within the normal pregnancy range or if it needs further investigation for liver or bone health. Make sure you don't miss any follow-up appointments, that's the most important thing.
