My blood report shows esr is high and i got a little worried seeing it. Im 22 weeks. Doc said its often normal in pregnancy but i still wanna understand why. Anyone faced this?
High ESR is mostly a normal change as the body prepares for the baby, so stay positive and don't let it stress you. Just trust your doctor, take your medicines on time, and keep your mind calm. Everything will be absolutely fine with God's grace.
ESR is an inflammatory marker, and since pregnancy itself is a state of physical change, it is very normal for it to go up. Doctors usually don't worry about high ESR alone unless your white blood cell count is also high or you have a fever. Just have your gynac review it during your regular checkup.
An elevated ESR is actually quite common during pregnancy, but please show your reports to your gynac to be absolutely safe. They will check it along with your other blood counts to rule out any infection. Never try to interpret blood reports on your own.
I also got my blood reports last week and my ESR was quite high, which really scared me! But my doctor said it is totally normal in pregnancy and nothing to worry about. Did your doctor say anything about it, or are u yet to show them the reports?
It is actually super common for ESR to be high when you are pregnant! 🌸 Your body is doing so much extra work, so the blood levels change naturally. Just share the report with your doctor on your next visit for peace of mind! 😊
Don't panic! ESR naturally shoots up during pregnancy because your blood volume is literally doubling, especially with twins like in my case. Unless you have other symptoms like pain or fever, it is usually nothing to worry about. Just show the report to your doctor and let them reassure you.
