What happens if sgot and sgpt is high in pregnancy?
My liver values sgot and sgpt came out raised in my latest report and now im a little tense. Im in my 7th month and have been having some itching lately too. Going to discuss with my gynac but anyone here had high liver levels in pregnancy?
These are liver enzymes and high values in pregnancy need proper checking, sometimes its linked to BP or other conditions. Please dont ignore it, show the report to your gynac soon.
Mine were slightly raised and my doctor explained it can be from many things, she repeated the test and watched my BP and itching. If your numbers are high let your obstetrician investigate the cause properly.
I had a few values off in pregnancy and regular follow up made all the difference. For liver enzymes definitely keep close contact with your doc and do the repeat tests they ask, dont skip them.
Don't panic seeing a high number beta, sometimes it settles or needs a small check. But this one really should go to your doctor without delay so they can find why.
