What happens if we eat sesame seeds during pregnancy?
I love til laddoo but my mom strictly said no til in pregnancy, says it causes problem. Im in first trimester. Is there actually any issue ya its just a common saying? curious to know.
Practically, unless you are eating massive quantities, sesame seeds are fine. Just eat normal balanced meals and don't waste time worrying over every small seed in your food.
Yaar, don't stress too much! A little til on your burger or paratha won't do anything. Just don't eat spoonfuls of til laddus in your first trimester, and you are good!
In moderation, sesame seeds are actually quite healthy and rich in calcium. I had them in later months and it was completely fine, but you can avoid them in the first trimester if you feel unsure.
Beta, mummy says to avoid too much sesame (til) in the first few months because it is considered 'garam'. You can have them in small amounts later on, just follow your family traditions and stay safe.
